Carambola
Fresh and sour fruity note, with a hint of citrus and green.
The carambola plant is believed to be native to Indonesia and flourishes in sunny, humid climates. It is harvested twice a year, typically in late fall and late spring, but can be found year-round.
JasmineSweet, full-bodied, intensely floral, fruity-banana top, musky-animalic undertones.
Jasmine is a sweet, narcotic-like floral, instantly distinguishable from most other florals for it’s deeply intoxicating, sensual aroma. It contains around 200 species native to tropical and warm temperate regions of Eurasia and Oceania.
Mint
sweet, fresh, cooling note with peppery aspects.
It has a refreshing flavor accompanied by a cooling sensation and a distinctive scent with eucalyptus qualities. In Greek mythology, mint is seen as “the herb of hospitality“– early records show mint was strewn over floors to deodorize and freshen rooms, as stepping on the leaves helped to spread its scent.
Pink Pepper
Dry, fresh, spicy-sweet, slightly floral, hints of angelica and juniper.
Pink pepper is produced from the bright pink fruit of the evergreen tree, Schinus molle. Despite the name, it is unrelated to true pepper. Pink pepper (also called pink peppercorn, baies roses, poivre rosé) is less spicy with an underlying sweet, rosy face.
Lemon Zest
Fresh, acidic, tangy, zest, lemon-peel, oily, green.
The lemon we consume today is a cultivated species and most likely a hybrid between lime and citron. This ellipsoidal yellow fruit is one of the world’s healthiest foods thanks to its sour juice, rich in citric acid. The fragrant essential oil of lemon is produced by cold-pressing the peel, and it is described as clean, fresh and sparkling.
Vetiver
Rich, smoky, full-bodied.
Vetiver essential oil comes from the sun-dried root of the plant. Its scent, initially earthy, woody, and root-like, becomes increasingly sweet, and slightly floral, violet-like. It has been valued for its aroma since ancient times. The scent has often been compared to the sharp smell of uncut grass on a warm day.
Soft Amber
Smoky, leathery, woody, dry, deep.
Natural, fossilized amber oil from a fossilized tree resin that is millions of years old. The oil comes from a dry distillation process that extracts oil by processing the amber resin over high heat. This complex amber is an excellent fixative that adds a pine-like depth and longevity to a fragrance.
Suede
Leather, woody, powerful, elegant.
A note which replicates the soft, pliable, sensuous feel of suede on the skin. Soft, powdery, musky.
